What is RAFB?  RAFB is Robins Air Force Base right in the middle of Georgia.

RAFB is the home of Warner Robins Air Logistics Center, the 78th Air Base Wing, and more than 60 other units that make up a crutial part of the Air Force fighting team. RAFB is the largest industrial complex in Georgia, employing a huge workforce of over 25,584 civilians, contractors, and military members (I believe this to be the single largest employer in the state of GA). RAFB is proud of the greater community we call Team Robins Plus that includes the remarkable support and friendship we receive from the people of Middle Georgia.

RAFB – Robins Air Force Base

RAFB supports the local Warner Robins economy and to be honest if this base closed I think the town would wither and decay very fast.  All the airmen and civilians employed there at RAFB keep the town afloat spending hard earned money at local business’s.

RAFB is also home to the Museum Of Aviation – a US Air Force Museum right on the Southern part of the base. I usually take my kids through the museum once a year and I never get tired of seing all those cool planes and exhibits on display.

One exhibit at RAFB’s museum of aviation is an actual fighter jet cockpit that you can climb up into and have your picture taken. It’s a great place to create memories with your children while they are growing up.

The museum of flight on RAFB has a gift shop located in the Eagle Building full of fun things like books, video’s, clothing. and toys for the whole family.

Another great thing about RAFB it is located near some excellent schools so if you are relocating to RAFB and have children then you are in luck.

The base is in Houston County Georgia and Houston County schools are rated very high at greatschools.org for the most part.
