Of course you can make money from blogging. There are many successful bloggers out there making money.

However you have to remember that with anything, you cannot make money from blogging overnight. It takes a lot of dedication and work.

Quality content is key

Quality content is the key to make money from blogging. I’m not saying you have to be serious all of the time. What I would suggest is having seperate blogs, a personal one where you can mess around, tell everyone what you’ve had for breakfast.

Then have a business one that makes you the money, review something you’ve purchased recently and share it with others. Pick out interesting stories from the around the internet and post them to your blog.

Commenting

Go out and comment on other blogs, with a link back to your own blog. It is just as important to post a high quality comment as it is posting a high quality blog post.

It’s going to make people more likely to come and visit your blog and click the adverts on your blog.

Advertisements

Put some advertisements on your blog, sign up to google adsense, adbrite, bing and yahoo

as a publisher. When doing this make sure the adverts you’re serving to your customers are relevant to your blog. Make sure you block adverts from sites you do not want to be associated with. Nothing kills traffic more than an inappropriate advert.

Sell advertising space on your blog, approach local businesses and see if they would like to advertise. Offer them a competitive rate compared to advertising in the newspaper or a trade magazine.

Guest Blogging

Some well established authority sites offer paid guest blogging spots. Approach these sites and ask if you can guest blog for them. Not only are you earning money from guest blogging for other sites, you’re also driving traffic back to your site.
