There are many of us who want to quit our jobs and work from home, but those prospects are easier said than done. MLM Network Marketing is one avenue that many have discovered and what’s great is that many people succeed in this business, but many more fail. Why does this happen and what can you do to guarantee your success?

MLM Network Marketing:

Develop The Proper Mindset

What makes MLM/Network Marketing so effective is that it’s based on people helping people and learning and then duplicating the processes that have worked for other people. The first place to start is the proper mindset, which is your unwavering desire to succeed. Take the attitude that failure is not an option. My advise is to get your hands on lots of quality motivational reading materials. There are lots of good books out there in the subject, but one book that had a profound impact on me was Stuart Lichtman’s Achieve Impossible Goals Fast.

Treat It Like A Career

So you need to go into the game with a winning attitude and you also need to treat your business like a business and not a hobby that you can just pick up and put down as you please. You have to be willing to to set aside a portion of every day to moving your business forward. So if you have a traditional job, then you need to wake up early or go to bed late in order to achieve your goals.

Go Online

Most traditional MLM Network Marketing companies still encourage their distributors to approach family, friends and strangers out in public to generate leads. While the approach works for some people, it’s an approach I certainly don’t like. Bu the internet offers a world of people who, just like you and me are looking for a side income or a way to break free of their 9 to 5 existence. Internet marketing though is not easy and it presents a whole new set of obstacles.

Attraction Marketing – Build Your Online Presence

Most MLM/Network Marketing companies that encourage their distributors to go online offer a company relocated website. You might be able to use that website as part of your sales funnel (I’ll get to that), but the primary goal is to begin developing you as the leader and the person that others what to join. This is a concept that’s become known as Attraction Marketing and it wasn’t originated by, but certainly popularized by Mike Dillard with his book Magnetic Sponsoring. Harry Beckwith wrote a book called YOU Inc. which expands on the attraction marketing concept. It takes time and patients, but it is effective when done correctly. Attraction marketing is effective because prospects will be hunting you down to join you and your business opportunity. Don’t laugh it works.

Sales Funnel/ List Building

With the proper mindset and clear strategy for success, your primary objective is to develop a loyal following of subscribers. I know I got hung up on this at first, but you don’t have to be an expert, you just need to possess skills that others don’t have. If you show a willingness to lead, then others will follow. So the primary goal of this online, attraction marketing concept is to generate leads that become prospects and ultimately customers and business partners. Let’s face it, people aren’t going to come to your website and then join your business. They first have to know, like and trust you before they’ll do business with you.

Sales Funnel/Funded Proposal

The majority of MLMers don’t even know about the concept of a funded proposal. People are coming to you as a resource for learning how to build their own business online. The attraction marketing concept is based on providing value to others and giving them the tools that they’ll need to succeed. There are many sales/marketing tools to help you leverage the power of the internet and you can show your prospects which tools you are using to achieve your results and generate an affiliate commission in the process. Only a small percentage of people will ultimately end up joining you in your primary business, but you can still make money from the 95% of people who will say ‘No’ to your ultimate business offer. The goal is that while you’re building your business you can be generating a positive cash flow from people who never join you in your primary business. That’s okay because you have made some money and you have given others the tools they’re going to need anyway in online marketing.

Marketing Strategy

If you’re going to treat your business like a business, then you need to have some sort of marketing budget. It can be pretty small at first, but as you’re business grows so should your marketing budget. Ultimately at least 25% to 30% of your revenues should be funneled back into your business if you want it to grow. Positioning your website so that it will get traffic and generate leads will take some time. Perhaps 6 months to a year. But in the meantime you can buy traffic through Solo Ads or Facebook pay-per-click and even Bing/Yahoo pay-per-click. Google pay-per-click is too expensive and Google isn’t fond of MLM/Network Marketers. Pay-per-click advertising on Facebook can be very cost effective and when you use funded proposals in your sales funnel you don’t have to go broke in the process. Whole books have been written and training courses developed on internet marketing, but my main point is to remind you that you should have both a short term, get out of the gates fast strategy and a long term, building a sustained business strategy if you want this all to work for you.

When it corms to MLM/Network Marketing or any internet marketing business there is no secret push button to success. There are no get rich quick scenarios. The people who make it work had the right mindset, the write goals, the right strategies and the right work ethic to get it done. I discovered internet marketing and attraction marketing and ways to leverage the internet by using automation tools. I didn’t invent any of it, but was willing to learn and apply what others have done and I can help you do the same thing.
