Kindle WiFi, Is There Any Cost?

One of the most common questions that Kindle users want to know has to do with the Kindle WiFi. All Kindles sold by Amazon come equipped with free 3G wireless so there is no hunting for WiFi signal. You can access the thousands and thousands of books, newspapers, magazines and blogs with the wireless anywhere you are in the world. However, there are a few Kindle models that are only equipped with WiFi so you will need a connection in order to download any books and material.
Can the Kindle WiFi be hacked?
Unfortunately, nothing is truly safe from hackers because hackers just get better and better at what they do. What does it mean to be hacked? Well simply put, someone can enter some codes to figure out your wireless password and use your WiFi connection. They will also have access to any personal information and downloaded materials as well. To help protect yourself as much as possible from being hacked, always have a strong and complex password for your Kindle WiFi.
Kindle WiFi VS 3G
With both WiFi and 3G models available from Kindle, which one should you get? The answer to that really depends on what you plan to use your Kindle for the most. If you simply want to download a few books and enjoy them at your leisure than WiFi may not be a bad choice for you. However, if you need more frequent access to the net for downloads and other features than the free 3G wireless option may be better for you.
If you already have a smart phone with mobile internet access then you may not want to pay the extra for the 3G since you most likely have it on your phone. However, if you do not have any electronic with mobile browsing capabilities then the free 3G access is definitely the best bet for you. There is also a 3G Kindle WiFi combo you can get for less than $200 if you want to have both options.
For those of you who have WiFi at home there is definitely no need to get the 3G unless you will be using your Kindle on the go a lot. 3G Kindles are great for those people who do not have constant access to a WiFi connection so they can still access their books, documents and information.
Overall the Kindle WiFi works great with a strong connection nearby. You should have no problems accessing the Kindle store, email and any other browser capable thing you are trying to do. If you still don’t know whether WiFi is better for you really think about why you want a Kindle and how you intend to use it the most. In the end you have to get the Kindle that best suites you because once you get one, you get hooked. Look into the information on the Kindle WiFi some more to see if it is for you or if you should with the 3G wireless.
