The Kindle DX is one of seven members of the Kindle that you can purchase and is also the most expensive. The E-reader comes with the new E Ink Pear Screen that they say is 50% higher which allows for sharp pictures and text for reading. The DX has the largest display of the Kindle family with a 9.7” screen. The no glare feature is probably one of the most important of the Kindle DX as it allows you to read your books, magazines, PDFs and documents in any kind of lighting, even direct sunlight. Try taking your laptop outside on a sunny day and see if you get the same results. The E-reader also comes equipped with an auto rotating screen so when you switch views from landscape to portrait, so does the DX.
The DX has a lot to offer its reader but how do you know if this is the Kindle for you or not? Making sure you know everything the E-reader has to offer will make going through with the order process easier.
What does the Kindle DX offer?
The DX, just like all Kindles, has free 3G wireless which lets you download books wherever you are, regardless of any WiFi hot spots. PDFs and documents are easily read on the Kindle DX on the go or wherever you may be. There is no computer or laptop required for you to download a book and it usually takes under 60 seconds to download one. The DX battery life can last multiple days without a charge and even longer if you have the wireless off. For those audio book lovers out there, the DX also comes equipped with a Read Me function that reads any blog, newspaper, magazine or book out loud.
There are only 400,000 books, magazines, blogs and newspapers which is a little less than some of the other Kindles. However, you can purchase best sellers for under ten bucks with the Kindle DX. You can hold up to 3,500 books on this Kindle and in case you ever delete a book or something out of your library, the free backup with allow you to re download it for free.
Kindle DX, More than meets the eye
The text is adjustable on the DX in 6 different sizes too. Wikipedia also jumped on board with the Kindle DX because you have wireless access to it any time you want it. When you read a book or magazine there are always words and things that come up you don’t know about, instant access to Wikipedia actually makes it easy to learn something new without getting too distracted from what you are reading.
E-readers like the Kindle and the Nook are great ways for readers to have their own personal libraries with them at all times. The Kindle DX is a new model with some really sound features and the price is still pretty affordable. Now that you know about the new model, do you think the Kindle DX is right for you?
