Soursop Graviola vs Cancer
Soursop (graviola) kills cancer cells 10,000 times more effectively than chemotherapy.
There, I’ve said it right at the start.
Cancer we all know about, but not willingly.
It’s that horrible stuff that eats the inside of our most vital organs.
And affects so many of us .. our families, our friends.
Billions of dollars are spent annually in trying to cure and contain cancer.
But Soursop?
What the heck is that?
It’s a fruit grown in tropical areas of South America, Asia, the Pacific Islands.
It looks like an overgrown custard apple, but larger, and softer.
There are different names for it around the traps: graviola in Brazil, Guyabano in the Philippines, guanabana in some other parts of South America.

Is Soursop graviola Sour?
Not at all.
We had a soursop tree in our backyard in Fiji.
We knew nothing then about any medicinal properties of soursop.
We simply knew that it tasted bloody good.
And so did the flying foxes.
There was a constant battle between us and the flying foxes to see who would get the soursop first.
And it was yummy.
So easy to eat.
Nice soft white to creamish flesh.
Simple to dig out with your fingers and plump in your mouth.
And suck your fingers while withdrawing them.
So refreshing!
Not only that.
You can make juices, smoothies, ice cream with soursop.
In fact, it’s been 35 years since I’ve had soursop ice cream.
And I can still remember the taste.
Best ice cream I’ve ever had, in the whole world.
Actually, I’m drooling at the memory.
So much, that I’m going to find some soursop somewhere in Sydney TODAY.
So I can enjoy the taste again.
And make some soursop ice cream.
Soursop graviola vs Cancer
What’s this about soursop fighting cancer?
I do know from my early days in Fiji and from
discussions with friends from Sri Lanka, Brazil,
and Malaysia that soursop has many medicinal values.
In fact my friend Antonio, originally from Angola
also mentioned soursop in our discussions last week.
(See my blog: “Headaches, Malaria, Death(almost)”.
He says that soursop is known in Angola for shrinking cancers.
The medicinal values of soursop were well enough known to
the pharmaceutical companies that they did quite a lengthy
test on soursop to try to extract the key ingredients so
they could patent and market it. Unfortunately for them,
they failed extract the ingredients and dropped the project altogether.
Soursop is best used as a whole fruit. The leaves and bark
are also very useful. You can’t patent a whole natural fruit.
So the Pharmaceutical companies lost out.
But we, the people, didn’t. We still have the fruit.
This YouTube video gives some idea of soursop’s place
with pharmaceutical companies and with us, the people.
Yes, that’s what the video says: soursop is 10,000 times
more effective at killing cancer cells than chemotherapy.
Not only that, it only kills bad cancer cells while
chemotherapy kills good and bad cancer cells.

Soursop, Graviola. It’s our fruit
I’m no doctor and I’m not going to prescribe any cures.
But there’s absolutely no harm in eating all fruit available.
And soursop is one of the best around.
Even if it’s not that well known.
So if you or your friends are suffering from some ailment
There’s no harm in adding soursop to your diet.
It’s done wonders in many tropical countries.
It can do wonders for you too.
And you might just develop that taste for it like me.
And feel fit and healthy all the time.
So you can blog.
