Stop Making Excuses and Follow Your Dreams to Success

Amazing things happen when you decide to stop making excuses and follow your dreams.
…that’s what I did.
A few years ago but unfortunately, I took a small detour not knowing it wasn’t the way I was supposed to go through. I thought college was my ticket to success. I couldn’t have been more wrong.
I went for about a year and some of it did help me but ultimately, looking at the big picture, it was a waste of time. I don’t blame the school for their education; they just go by the curriculum.
But that’s what happens when you take action and start working towards your goals. When you mess up, you learn from it and keep moving forward; that’s the only way you’re gonna learn and get smarter about your choices in life. Learn to stop making excuses and just do it.

At first, having big dreams and goals seems like they’re a million years away. For a while, that’s how it was for me. I knew what my dreams and goals were; I just didn’t know where to start. As a result, I procrastinated on doing the things that were gonna help me in the long run.
Instead of thinking in the future tense, think in the present; like right now in this very moment in time. Let me show you what I mean.
This is gonna be different for everyone so I’m just gonna keep it generic.
Think of something you really want to accomplish in your life. If you find yourself coming up with reasons of why you can’t do something, your mind is already rejecting the idea of accomplishing your goal.
When you think you can’t do something, or you start coming up with reasons or excuses of why you can’t do something, your brain automatically stops working and you go back to your regular life. You go back to your regular job to work for the same boss and receive the same weekly paycheck to pay the same bills.

Instead of saying “I can’t”, say “how can I?”
See the difference?
By asking yourself “how can I?” your brain’s creative side starts to kick in and you start coming up with different ways and ideas of how you could get something done. When you start working out your brain like that, the same thing that happens when you go out and workout at the gym; you get stronger.
Once you see the required elements that have to be into place for you to reach you goals, it’s time to break things down.
This goes back to when I said to think in the present tense. What can you do today that will help you get to where you wanna be?
A big problem that I see people have is money. If that’s what you need, then how can you get it? This is another problem people have. They say: “well I’m already working full time and I just barely have enough for the bills.”
Remember, “How can I?”
I see a lot of people complain about money that got plasmas in their home and surround sounds. If they really needed money that bad, they’d sell their stuff. I’m serious.
If you have a dream and you want it badly, you’ll go out and do whatever it takes. If you’re not willing to go through some sacrifices, then you don’t really want it. It’s that simple.
I’ve personally sacrificed a lot to get to where I want to be (mostly time). Time is one thing that you can never get back. Knowing how to use it is the difference between the rich and the poor.
