Perfect Timing – Being at the Right Place at the Right Time

by | on January 7, 2013

lucky four leaf cloverWhether you call it ‘perfect timing’, ‘being at the right place at the right time’, ‘chance’, or ‘luck’, we’ve all been through something ‘magical’ like this.

A while back I had court for some reckless driving stuff I think, but it was scheduled for 1:00PM. When the court date came, I decided I wasn’t going to show up, even though I knew I was gonna get a warrant. I just didn’t feel like going.

Earlier in the daytime some friends showed up to my house with some beer (I used to drink a lot back then). Nobody knew I had court and the minute I mentioned it, they told me to stop slacking and just go. One of them in particular kept telling me to go. They left and told me I better go to court.

It was about 30 minutes before the court and I was in my house just chillin. It soon turned to 1:00 and I was still in my house slacking not wanting to go, but kinda still thinking about going. The time passed and quickly turned to 2, then 3.

At about 3:30 I called up my friends again. I figured that it was far too late to go anyways, if they were gonna keep telling me to go. Sure enough they asked if I had gone. I said something like “nah, it’s too late already.”

They told me to still show up and if I was lucky enough to still find the judge there, he’ll most likely postpone it and I won’t get a warrant. I decided to just go.

I showed up like at 3:45 and I was surprised to see the courtroom full of people still. I saw a few people I knew there and took a seat.

The judge was going through some lady’s case. If you’ve ever been to court, you know that the judge calls you up by name. Well this judge sometimes does it randomly and sometimes alphabetically.

About a minute later, the lady’s trial ended and she walks out the door. The judge starts to go through the files of all the people that have court that day getting ready to call up the next person.

And the very next name he calls: MINE.

Perfect Timing

in and out like a robberyI thought this was crazy. I show up, sit down for a minute or two get called and go through the entire court process, and I’m in and out like a robbery!

I almost felt guilty because people show up really early to courts; they’ll be waiting outside the door for more than half hour waiting for the court doors to open. There were people there waiting for more than 3 hours and I come in, get called a minute later and I’m out.

There were probably around 30 people there still. I don’t know how many of them were waiting for court, cuz a lot of people bring friends and family.

That was literally, perfect timing.

Sometimes you’re afraid to make decisions on important things, like showing up for court. If I would’ve hesitated just ONE minute longer, the judge could’ve put a warrant out for my arrest.

It’s funny how you go through crazy situations sometimes and you don’t even pay attention to what’s going on.

I’ve noticed that the more you focus on positive and ‘lucky’ things around you, the more these things tend to show up in your life. The same with negativity; they more you focus on all the negativity in your life, the more it will show up for some reason.

Knowing this, why would you ever focus on negativity again? It doesn’t make sense.

It’s just like the things I’ve learned in the Empower Network Inner Circle – changing lives all around the world.

I’ve been learning so much lately, it’s crazy. The way the world works is amazing.
