Stop Making Excuses and Become Limitless

by | on January 4, 2013

stop making excuses and become limitless and fearlessWhen you decide to stop making excuses, you become limitless and here’s why. When you start making excuses of why you can’t do something or when you start coming up with reasons of why something’s hard, it all goes back to fear.

When you are afraid of trying something new or making a big life-changing decision, you start coming up with excuses that don’t even make sense to other people that hear you say those excuses. You begin to find reasons that if you truly took the time to think about it, you’d see that they’re not real reasons. You need to get over your fear of decision making.

People are usually afraid to go through a situation that’s going to make them feel a little bit uncomfortable but the funny thing is, this is what’s gonna allow you to grow and gain some life experience.

Here’s probably the easiest way to put it. Picture a small cartoon on a piece of paper and a small circle around it. The cartoon represents you and the circle represents your comfort zone. Every time you try stepping out of circle (your comfort zone) the circle gets a little bigger.

Make sense? The more you learn to step just a little bit outside your comfort zone, your comfort zone will get just a little bit bigger and the next time you go through something you once thought was uncomfortable, it’ll be as comfortable as sitting on your couching watching your favorite TV show.

fearless and confidentI know this because that’s what happened to me a while back. I was put through a rough situation that made me really uncomfortable, but I grew mentally. It helped me gain some confidence and grow my comfort zone. Some of the situations I go through now would’ve scared me in the past all because I’ve learned to get just a little bit outside my comfort zone.

It’s weird how we automatically start coming up with excuses and reasons instead of admitting we’re scared to go through with something.

There are a lot of reasons why people are afraid to follow through with something. There’s fear of failure, there’s fear of success, there’s fear of what others might think or say, there’s fear of ourselves. It all starts with fear.

Since it goes back to fear, I’ll tell you what fear stands for: Finding Excuses and Reasons. I saw that somewhere on the internet and thought it was interesting.

When you stop making excuses and reasons of why you can’t do something or why something is so difficult, you become limitless –because a person with fear is a person with limits.

The only thing that’s holding you back is fear (it’s either that or laziness). So when you stop making excuses, you gain the courage to follow through with what you want to accomplish. You might still be afraid but you still take action and you still keep moving forward, even if everyone and everything around you don’t seem to coincide with your goals and dreams.

It’s either excuses or success, you can’t have both.

When you stop coming up with excuses, you start having success. Another thing that happens when you stop yourself from coming up with excuses, is you won’t accept them from anybody else. You need to learn how to stop making excuses and just do it.

There are a lot of people with a lack mentality and a negative mindset that look at something and either start criticizing it or start coming up with excuses of why it won’t work. They’ll automatically start coming up with reasons for everything.

And there are those who look at the same exact thing and say, “how can I make this work for me?” or “how can I make it happen?” Then they start coming up with reasons of why it’s gonna happen.

Instead of saying, “I can’t”, say, “How can I?”

There’s a big difference between coming up with reasons of why something isn’t going to work and coming up with reasons of why something is going to work.

I am a crazy-hair dude who enjoys listening to Epic music while working on my online business or when I'm doing anything that requires thinking; it simulates my brain. I also like 80's music. When I was 5 I wanted to fly and when I couldn't take off into the air, I cried. The funny thing is, at this point in my life I feel like I'm flying and everyday I seem to go just a little bit higher. This world truly is what you believe it to be.
