Welcome to this review of the Visalus Body by Vi Health Challenge and income opportunity. First of all, full disclosure, I recently joined Visalus as a rep after studying it for quite awhile. I couldn’t help but pay attention because Visalus is one of the hottest network marketing opportunities on the planet. I mean just look at what happened last month in September 2011. Over 81,000 people joined Visalus as a customer and/or as a promoter. Over 755 new people qualified for a free BMW. Over 30 people earned bonus checks of over $25,000. So there is quite a bit of momentum happening here, and a lot of people are making money, more so it seems than in most opportunities. So who or what is Visalus? We will look at the company, products, and opportunity. And maybe then we will understand why this company is experiencing such explosive growth.

Visalus Sciences was founded by the relatively young trio of Ryan Blair, Blake Mallen and Nick Sarnicola back in 2005. The company is headquartered in Troy, Michigan. The founders were astute enough to put a strong, seasoned management team together led by President and COO John Purdy. In 2008 the company assured itself of strong financial footing by partnering with the global, multi-billion company Blyth Inc. that has over 30 years of experience in the direct sales industry. The name Visalus literally means Life, Health and Prosperity. These three words pretty much sum up the mission of the company. Visalus is a health transformation company committed to helping people live healthier, more vibrant lives. They are also committed to the success and prosperity of their direct sales force.

This sales force markets a line of patented nutritional and nutraceutical products based on solid clinical and scientific research. Visalus takes the Sciences part of their name very seriously. The company has a Scientific Advisory Board led by renowned experts in food science, nutrition, and anti-aging such as Dr. Michael Seldman and Dr. Steven Witherly. The company looks to offer the safest, highest quality, cutting-edge health and wellness products, that are not only highly effective, but taste good as well. Because lets face it, if it doesn’t taste good, most people won’t eat or drink it.

Touted as the “Shake Mix that tastes like a cake mix”, I would say the flag-ship product of the lot is the Vi- Shape Nutritional Shake Mix. This is the product that the 90 day Challenge is built around. This meal-replacement shake mix is said to provide more protein, fiber, calcium, vitamins and minerals than most breakfasts, but with a lot less sugar, fat, and carbohydrates. The cream flavored Shake Mix is supplemented by a variety of Shape-up Health Flavor Mix-Ins, namely Strawberry, Banana, Peace, Orange, and Chocolate. Each of the Mix-Ins has an unique health and nutritional benefit. But more important to some than taste is results. Testimonials run the gamut from significant weight loss to increased energy,lower blood sugar, lower blood pressure, and lower cholesterol.

The product that the company led out with initially was the Vi-Pak. The Vi-Pak is an impressive collection of vitamins, minerals, oils, and anti-oxidants that support anti-aging, endurance and performance enhancement, immune system enhancement, stress defense, a healthy range of motion, and healthy hair, skin, and nails. Visalus also offers an Energy drink called Neuro that provides a quick burst of energy without the sugar and caffiene found in your traditional energy drinks. Visalus also has products to boost your metabolism and help control your appetite and hunger. Due to the quality and affordability of these products, Visalus is one of a few direct sales companies that have many, many customers who are not distributors or reps.

Another reason for happy customers is that these customers can get their products for free, without becoming distributors, by simply referring the products to three of their friends. But for those who want to create an income, the sky is the limit with Visalus. The Visalus compensation plan details eight ways that the company will pay you. At the heart of the plan is a compressed uni-level commission structure that has one of the highest commissionable payouts in the direct sales industry. The company pays fast start bonuses for everyone you enroll with an Executive Success System or higher. There a rank bonuses and leadership bonuses. There is also a Rising Star bonus that you can only achieve in your first 30 days with the company, that will pay out in benefits literally forever. I really can’t do the compensation plan justice here, so I suggest that you check it out for yourself.

One thing I found exciting though has to be the free BMW incentive program. You can win a free BMW for life by achieving and maintaining the rank of Regional Director, which is just the third achieveable rank in the company. Most companies tend to put their car program at the back of the plan, instead of up front. So that by the time you qualify for a car in their programs, you can afford to buy a couple of them yourself. There is a catch with this program though. The BMW has to be black! That’s it, once you qualify, Visalus will give you $600 a month towards the purchase or lease of a black BMW! Or if you don’t want the car, Visalus will cut you a check for $300 every month, your choice.

But no matter how good the products are, or how good the compensation plan is, whether or not you succeed with Visalus is almost totally up to you. Your willingness to work, to be coachable and teachable, and maybe most importantly, to endure will all be key to your success. Visalus does provide its reps with more tools and training than a lot of companies that I have seen. The Vi-Net marketing platform and online community provides you a wealth of resources for building your business, including training, on-line and off-line marketing materials, communication tools, and Web 2.0 integration with social networking sites, just to name a few. There are training events all over the country that you can attend as well.

Another key to success with Visalus, or network marketing in general, is finding people to share the opportunity with. We all have a limited number of people that we know personally, and it may surprise you to know that a lot of them will not be interested in working towards their financial freedom or earning a free BMW. So you may need to learn how to attract the kind of people you want to work with to you. There are a number of automated marketing systems that can help teach you to market and to expand your circle of influence. Attraction marketing systems can teach you how to attract people who are interested in your opportunity, so that you don’t have to waste time on those who aren’t. The beauty of these systems is that people come to you, instead of you having to chase them.

The beauty of Visalus is that so many people have found success with this company. It is so obviously not scam, not a fluke, nor is it a flash in the pan. So what that tells you is that you can make it with this company if you are willing to put in the work.
