Profitable Blog – How to Make Money on the Internet

With a weakened economy people are looking for way to make money on the internet and having a profitable blog is one way to do this rather quickly. What I would like to do here is give some tips on how to have a blog that is profitable, meaning you are making more than you are spending which involves two things:

1. A lot of traffic
2. A way to monetize off the traffic

How to Generate Traffic to Your Blog

One misconception I had which I have come to realize is common to many people is this: “You just put up a website and everyone will flock to it!” Nope…False information!

This is a lot harder than people like to tell you but I want to show you some long term ways and also some quicker short ways. First you need to have a blogging platform such as this one that has authority, meaning sites that link back to it. Second it needs to be an aged domain such as this one. Thirdly you need to have topics that people want to read about such as this one. Fourth you need to write the topic including the “keyword” you want people to search for. For instance this blog is about how to have a “Profitable Blog”.  Everything that I write about in this blog has to do with having a blog that is profitable. So my goal is when someone goes to Google and types in “Profitable Blog” mine will popup and someone will read it, thus generating traffic to it.

Profitable Blog Trafficking Part 2 

Another way to generate traffic to your blog is by good old fashioned marketing! There are many ways to do this. For the sake of time we’ll just list a few.

Placing links on Facebook to your blog, telling people verbally about your blog, manually leaving comments in forums and other people’s blogs and including your link. There are programs that do this for you also such as this one xrumer that will literally add thousands of links back to your blog in a matter of days.

A Profitable Blog Needs A Way To Make Money

Google Adsense is by far one of the best revenue sources for bloggers. Basically Google gives you a code and places ads on your blog that are relevant to the topic you are writing about. People click on an ad, and you make money. If you are serious about investing in your business resources such as the Adsense Guild are invaluable.

Basically the name of the game is generate traffic then have a way to make money from the traffic.
