Welcome to today’s blog post. If you working with people in your daily job, or communicating with people online, and most of us do, it is extremely important how you engaging them in your conversations. Maybe you didn’t paying attention on this subject before but Discovering the power of language can immediately have influence on that person in two ways:- like you or dislike you. It is a well known phenomena called – First Impression.

I will tell you a story on how discovering the power of language take part in my life, when was the first time I noticed what it is all about, and how can you benefit in every aspect of your life, mastering that secret. So lets start…

Right after the primary school I knew exactly what I wanted to do with my life. I was practicing basketball and was a very perspective player for my age. My decision was simple. I wanted to become a pro.

In my later career I had the opportunity to be trained by the best coaches in Europe and by those who was less successful. First thing that separated successful ones from others was the way of their individual approach to the players. Simply said, you can become a better player only if you paying attention on every word your coach is saying and the accent here is on words.

When somebody talking to you it is ether easy to follow what he is saying or you not listening that person at all. I’m sure you met people in your life that you were listening what they were talking about and didn’t want to miss any word because the way of that person was talking to you, and it was somehow hypnotizing. On the other hand, sure you met those, who you would rather avoid on the street, just to escape from their babbling.

I had a luck that my first coach had a big knowledge on the subject, was a great talker and story teller, and all of us in the team was looking at him as to someone who invented the world. At that time i didn’t had a clue about discovering the power of language.

Couple of years latter we get a substitute for our head coach, because he was sick, and that was the first time I noticed the difference. A way of that person was talking was terrible. A tone of his voice was boring, he didn’t choosing  the right words and he never raised a voice. He couldn’t get our attention at practice no matter how hard he was trying. We simply didn’t listened to what he was saying. We made a jokes in the locker room about him and he became our first pick for making a fun.

What is the secret of discovering the power of language?

When you talk, you must really believe in the words that are coming out of your mouth. You must know what you are talking about and be sure that you make a individual contact with the person you  are referring to. Lies are easily discovered and you have no power behind this words if they are not truth.

 

First – I want you to realize something – that language, like any other force in nature, has a structure behind the structure.

For example:

How many times did you heard about parents that forbid their children to play with a fire. And yet, there is a million cases that children get burned by playing with matches or a lighter.

You can not knowingly make a person, by telling him something to do, force him to do just the opposite.

There are more examples in the real life.

Did you ever be in the contact with the life insurance agents? Or, did you ever attend to some great meeting or a seminar made by MLM companies?

I did, and many of people are. Try to remember how those people were talking to you. Not all of them were good but I’m sure that some of them make impression on you.

People that standing on the stage during a seminars for  MLM companies are trained to get your attention, they are trained to persuade you that their product is the best in the world. When you are there you get this funny feeling in your stomach that everything is possible. You get motivated by their story and you start to believe that you can do the same.

And you do, but the first thing you are going to need to success is to learn and master discovering the power of language.

I did work as a life insurance agent. For five years, and was successful one. Making between 10 to 15 contracts per month made me to reach 30 000 euros per year. For Croatian standards that was a big money, considering that the country just get out of the nasty war.

I will never forget my first presentation. It took me an our to finish, and I signed the person. I did have a great sponsor who teach me everything but the point is that after the 6 months of doing this  my presentations skills  improved and I was able to finish my presentation in a less than 20 min. With better conversions. The secret is, Discovering the power of language.

Ok, you may said that this is very different experience because you don’t see the person you are talking to when you actually creating  a written text for your blog, or making a website, but in a way those things are very similar.

If you learn properly how to write a sales letter you will never be hungry again in your life. This is only one way you can benefit from beside of many others that you can choose from when you Master The Secret Of Discovering The Power Of Language.
