If you are familiar with the world of digital photography, you already know that Canon produces some of the best digital SLR’s out there. If you are new to the area, take a few minutes and allow me to give you a peak into the world of the new Canon EOS Rebel T3i!
Not a Newbie
Canon has been providing quality for a long time, so it should come as no surprise that this camera is above par! Launched in March of 2011, it replaced the EOS Rebel T2i. Although this camera is geared at amateur photographers, its high quality and user friendly features make it a great choice for an on the go professional. Before we go into details about this awesome specimen of a camera, let’s cover the basics.
• ISO range: 100-6400 Upgradable to 12,800
• Shutter speed: 30 seconds to 1/4000 second
• CMOS sensor
• Self-cleaning sensor.
• 1080p full HD Movie capabilities.
Ok, Tell me more
Light weight and easy to use, this camera offers a great mid-range 18 MP CMOS sensor. Ranging in price from $500 – 1000 depending on the accessories that come with the body, it is a great bargain. This camera has been flying off shelves, and it is not just because of the cost.
Offering several file storage types, such as JPEG and RAW. If you choose to shoot in RAW or high quality JPEG, you are going to get a full 17.9MP of awesomeness. The higher the MP the sensor is capable of the better the quality of your image. Settings can also be changed to less MP, making this a flexible buy! Live view also makes an appearance with the T3i, making it easy to see what you are about to capture.
While the ISO range that this camera offers is standard, the ability to upgrade it to 12,800 is above and beyond. Remember though that the higher your ISO the more digital noise you are going to end up with.
