Is SOPA Bad For Business?
Well I guess that all depends…
Depends on if you like your freedom of speech…
Depends if you make a living on the internet…
Depends if you value your constitutional rights…
Depends on your understanding of the bill…
Depends if you have created a website…
Depends on if you like your online business!
If there’s one thing that you can do and that’s to educate yourself on what this bill really is all about. See the complete bill Mashable Review of SOPA
Mashable did a great write up and break down of this SOPA bill. Do note that their review is in their words. They said it themselves that they are not lawyers, but do have a good understanding of how to unravel complex things. Leave to a coder right? Now if you look around the net at all today you can’t help but notice the blackouts.

Of course these blackouts are only for January 18th 2012. But you can get a small idea of who is taking a stand against SOPA. Now don’t be fooled if some kind of censored media tries to pull a fast one by saying these sites are against piracy as that’s the main pint for SOPA. This can’t be further from the truth. But again I would empower you to make your own judgement against SOPA. Here’s a Ted Talk Video on the SOPA subject. Now this was not my intention to use this Ted Talk as my Tuesday video but the timing helps.
So what happens of SOPA passes?
Well for one this post will actually be subject to being shut down. Why?
Just for the fact that I’m sharing someones else s content which has a copy write note on it. Even if I’m using it for review, information or any other reason just by posting the links and videos makes this post a felony.
