I just recently wrote an ArticleRanks review on my blog. It mainly focuses on ArticleRanks itself. But how does ArticleRanks compare against other blog networks. What about ArticleRanks vs Traffic Kaboom?
ArticleRanks vs TrafficKaboom – The Interface
I find the ArticleRanks interface to be pretty clunky. It is fairly similar to the one used by SEOLinkVine and My Article Network, but since their server feels really slow, it makes the submission process more tedious than it should be. I always preview my articles before I submit them, and this just takes 1 too many clicks to do this with a bunch of waiting in between.
Traffic Kaboom on the other hand just revamped their interface. They used to have their own 8-step wizard for submitting articles, but they have now combined everything into a 1 step wizard which makes the submission process so much easier.
Winner: TrafficKaboom
ArticleRanks vs TrafficKaboom – Network Quality
Both ArticleRanks and Traffic Kaboom are public blog networks, and as such are typically are filled with lower quality blogs (in terms of PageRank) than their private network counterparts. In my link building case studies I found that ArticleRanks contains slightly higher PR blogs (on average) than Traffic Kaboom does.
IP diversity is also an important consideration of any blog network. You want the blogs in each network to be hosted on a variety of class C IP addresses. Here, ArticleRanks comes out quite a bit of ahead. Only 1 in 4 of your Traffic Kaboom submissions will go to a blog with a unique class C IP address. On ArticleRanks, 1 in 2 submissions are to unique class C IPs.

ArticleRanks vs TrafficKaboom Extras
What is nice about ArticleRanks is that you can use their free plan when starting out. Just purchase a high PR domain and add it to the system to build up your credits. ArticleRanks will also automatically build backlinks to your distributed articles using social bookmarking sites which helps with your indexing.
Traffic Kaboom just started building backlinks to your articles as well. Traffic Kaboom also has some nice extras like the ability to add outsourcing accounts, automatic rank tracking of your primary keyword and some extensive training.

ArticleRanks vs TrafficKaboom – Price
ArticleRanks offers 3 different membership options. There’s the free plan which I’ve mentioned above that lets you promote up to 5 different sites. Then they have a Starter Plan for $39.99 a month and a Pro Plan for $89.99 a month. The Pro plan allows you to submit unlimited articles to unlimited sites.
TrafficKaboom currently only has one membership option. You can get started with the $1, 14 day trial which then re-bills you at $197 for 3 months (about $65/mo).

ArticleRanks vs TrafficKaboom – Overall
So ArticleRanks vs TrafficKaboom…which wins overall? While the comparison was quite close, if I had to pick one, I would choose ArticleRanks. The most important factor in my mind for joining any blog network is network quality and ArticleRanks comes out a bit ahead here. Also the more flexible pricing structure allows it cater to a wider variety of people. Still Traffic Kaboom is not bad at all and it does have a lot of things going for it.
