by Terje Sannarnes | on January 16, 2013
An entrepreneur like to discuss the topic how to develop business by the help of internet marketing techniques. They often exchange experience with each other and give helpful tips and recommendations on how to increase targeted traffic of a website, attract more buyers to online business and get thousands of new orders. Nevertheless, an online entrepreneur shouldn’t forget about things, which can destroy his business completely. Very often an entrepreneur cannot succeed in business due to the fact that he makes simple mistakes. For example, this often happens when we don’t like what we do. Some entrepreneurs consider business a hobby and don’t make efforts to develop it. There are also people, who are simply afraid of their future failure and do nothing to succeed in business. It should be noted that there is a great deal of common mistakes made by an entrepreneur on his way to success. Fortunately, you can easily correct all these mistakes and minimize risks in your online business. So, just let me list the main marketing mistakes made by website owners. Also, I am going to explain readers how to avoid these mistakes and minimize risks of failure in online business.
An Entrepreneur Doesn’t Demonstrate Serious Attitude towards Business
Just keep in mind that people, who visit your website, see what attitude that online website owners demonstrate towards their online businesses. Any user, who has come to your online resource from a popular search engine, Twitter or forum, can easily realize whether you treat your online business seriously or not. Let’s consider the main things, which users of your website usually pay special attention to. The list of factors having a negative influence on development of your web project includes the following: you don’t post on a blog for a long time; you haven’t offered any new products or services within the last 6 months; design and structure of your website doesn’t look professionally; you don’t believe in business success and say that an entrepreneur always achieves good results occasionally. Actually, this list of negative factors can be continued more and more, but I would like to tell you about the most important things only. It can be easily concluded that the main task of an online entrepreneur is to show serious attitude towards business from the very beginning.
An Entrepreneur is focused on Group of People Than on the Niche
Let’s try to understand the main differences between a niche of website and group of people. So, what is a niche of my entrepreneur training blog? Freelancers, small business owners, copywriters, home based business owners are not our niche. Given examples are just groups of people, on which entrepreneurs are often oriented by mistake when launching and promoting their businesses on the market. Let me give you the simplest and the most exact definition of the niche. A niche is a group of people, who have the same problem and try to resolve it. Therefore, the main task of an online entrepreneur is to focus on the niche, know the problems of your targeted audience and provide an effective solution in the end.
Online Business of an Entrepreneur doesn’t Impress Customers
In fact, it is not difficult to begin online business and become an entrepreneur now. All that you need to do is to launch a website built on Word Press platform and start posting. Everything seems to be very easy, doesn’t it? Do you need graphics for a website? Do you need a well-designed logo and header? All these questions are extremely important for an entrepreneur. Of course, you can do online business without a professional design of a website. The only problem is that your online presence doesn’t make a good impression on people, who may become your clients in the future. As a result, they may begin to think that you are greedy and will not trust your online business in the end. It should be noted that there are a lot of good ways for an entrepreneur to save money and decrease costs while launching business. However, website design is not included in this list. Actually, it is not necessary for you to hire a professional studio and invest huge money into design of a website. Just create a website that is accurate, convenient for users and looks professionally!
An Entrepreneur doesn’t Take Contacts of Customers
Let’s suggest the following situation. A user comes to your website, reads a few articles and goes away. Maybe users of your online resource find your articles interesting. Maybe they are even going to return back to a blog again, but forget about it and leave it forever. A great deal of interesting web resources don’t provide users with an opportunity to subscribe to RSS feed. It is always difficult to find new targeted users and potential customers for a website. So, why does an entrepreneur refuse from them so easily?
