Dumb Ways To Die YouTube video

I found myself a little bored this afternoon and decided to do a little YouTube surfing.  I generally find that messing around on YouTube for a while can kill some time when I’m bored and usually I can find some entertaining stuff.  Today I came across a video simply entitled Dumb Ways To Die.  It’s an animated video and, just as the title implies, the topic is all about dumb ways to die.  It has a pretty catchy tune that goes along with it and I find myself still humming and singing it to myself.  When you get all the way to the end of the video you find out that it was simply a public safety message telling you to be safe around trains.  I have to admit that that caused me to chuckle a little bit and ascertain that this is probably not a video from the United States.

1000 Dumb Ways to Die

For some reason I found myself thinking about the Spike TV show 1000 Ways to Die after watching this.  For those of you that may not be familiar, 1000 Ways to Die is exactly what it sounds like.  The events, or ways to die, that are discussed in the show supposedly have actually occurred.  The names of the people and the places have been changed in order to protect the dead.  The only reason that I bring it up is because there are very many dumb ways to die that are depicted in that television show.  If you haven’t seen the show before and you aren’t squeamish around incredibly fake gore, I would recommend that you check it out.  I find it to be quite entertaining and it’s another good way to kill some time (no pun intended).
