This is definitely the most important Fundamental in the Direct Sales industry. And is not just about giving help to anyone.. NO NO NO! the key here is to Identify WHO is ready for your help and don’t waste time with the ones that want to do this business by themselves.
You must get OK (not a master) at developing and teaching others. You must have a systematic game plan to help your new downline members get started right. And you don’t want your downline to dependent on you. .
…seems tricky but your success depends on how you help others, period!

Sometimes it’s a direct order that you give, sometimes a suggestion you make, or a request or the asking of a favor; but the result (if you have control) is always that the other person acts and you derive a benefit from the other person’s actions….
…many people like to be given purpose and when controlling people is done with tact and resourcefulness, most people will not mind being used and will offer their services to those who can put them to good use freely.
It really boils down to teaching your downline how to teach others these 3 direct sales fundamentals (everything else is BS and it will slow you and your team down. It will also keep EVERYBODY off-track)

Be enthusiastic with your team stars, the leaders of tomorrow will always stand out from day one and you should recognize the potential in them. If you do not nurture your stars, do not expect them to shine, since everything you do will duplicate, leading by enthusiasm is a fundamental skill that is imperative to your success.
I think that from all the 3 direct sales fundamentals this is the one that keep the fun alive in your business. Don’t take it so seriously.. Play with these psychological elements and people will buy your pills, diapers, lotions, gold, tupperware, travel deal, supplement, high ticket course, protein shake, info. product or whatever the heck your company sells.
Play with it… these 3 direct sales fundamentals are design for you to keep it simple and fun and it is INCREDIBLE how many people complicate this business.
I got to be honest..
I tried to re-invent the wheel with my own “direct sales fundamentals” and guess what? I failed miserably. Until I had the following conversation with my mentor:
AL: Holy shit dude! ..why do you complicate this so much?
ME: …well, is there a better way?
AL: Hell yeah! Have you read the 3 direct sales fundamentals?
ME: Of course!
AL: No way! Tell them to me..
ME: Prospecting, Follow Up and Close.
