Throw a Glitter Party!
by Eric Kalberer | on March 30, 2012
Howdy folks Eric here. Today we’re going to talk about throwing a glitter party. Now you might be thinking “What does a GUY know about having a glitter party?” The truth is that I don’t know all that much about glitter parties because hey I’m a guy. I’m also a father of a little four year old girl so whether I like it or not there will be pink princess glitter parties in my future.
I can tell you this much. If I had to throw a party for my little girl I think I’d try to convince her to have a pink power ranger party first. Ninja moves and samurai swords are a little more up my alley but if my little girl really wanted a glitter party and I absolutely had to throw one I think I’d call in the professionals.
The Honest Truth About a How I’d Throw a Glitter Party
Buy now you’re probably wondering why is this guy REALLY talking about throwing a glitter party? Well I believe that honesty is the best policy so I’ll tell you. I wanted to write this article for two reasons…
One I wanted to tell fathers like myself to leave the glitter parties to the women in their lives, or call a real professional like my cousin who specializes in doing pretty pink glitter parties for little girls.
The second reason I wanted to write about throwing a glitter party was to show people that it’s not that hard to show up in the search engines like Google for virtually any hobby or interest you might have.
If you have some creativity and the right kind of a set up ranking on the search engines is a pretty easy thing to do.
As for having a glitter party I’m sure the same thing is true, I mean hey it wouldn’t be much of a glitter party without some glitter. And I’m sure you’d need a bunch of pink fluffy stuff and purple frilly things. Of course a glitter party wouldn’t be complete without fairy wings and princess crowns.
Throw a Glitter Party OR Die!
Now like I’ve said I don’t know much about throwing a glitter party but if I had to do it I’d pretend like I was throwing a really cool boy party and then just get the opposite things for a glitter party. For instance;
A party theme for a little boy would have to be based around some kind of lizards or dinosaurs, maybe some robots or space men sooo.
BAM! For a glitter party theme you could use fairies (pixie dust) or unicorns, or go with some kittens, or you could go with ballerinas and princesses. Think sugar and spice and everything nice.
Dinosaurs and Glitter Parties Oh My!
Now that we have a theme we’ll need some accessories sooooo. For dinosaurs we’d need lots of green colors, maybe some kind of slime, and a T-Rex (cuz let’s face it you need a T-Rex). Then you’ll need some bones (or at least something that looks like bones) and maybe a cast of a dinosaur foot print. The main thing for boys is activity and being able to get messy so be ready for that. If you bury some chicken bones in the back yard and you have some enthusiasm mixed with a hint of mystery your dinosaur party will be a hit.
So let’s translate over to a glitter party shall we? Like I said before we need lots of pink and maybe some purple colors. Then we’d need some glitter and some kind of make up or face paint. Then you’d need princess crowns and tu tu’s. Then maybe you could throw a cute animal in the mix like a kitten or a pony of some kind. And last but not least you’ll need magic wands or streamers. Guy Note: A streamer is just a stick with ribbon tied to the end of it.
Like I said I’m not an expert I’m just shooting from the hip but if I had to throw a slimy boy party or a pretty pink glitter party I’d just make a plan get the materials and go for it. If you have a passion for throwing parties but you’re not able to do it full time yet you should consider writing about your passion and getting paid.
