Video SEO – YouTube Search Engine Optimization
Yesterday I attended a webinar on Video SEO, it was amazing. The person presenting the webinar has the #2 spot in Youtube for the keyword “MLM”. Is that powerful or what!? How does he do it. Well, he uses Video SEO, he takes search engine optimization and he applies it to his videos. I made a very short, super condensed review of it. Watch it below
Video SEO – Rank your videos and get more exposure, more leads and more sales
Now, here is the written summary. If you are familiar with SEO, this is going to be very easy. If you are not familiar with Search Engine Optimization, start today! It will help you increase the traffic that you get to your site.
Keyword research. I personally use Google Keyword Tool, it’s free and super simple to use. Look for keyword that have decent traffic, I would say at least 8 searches per day or 240 per month.
Create your video. This is where most people are going to stop… why? Because making videos is terrifying at the beginning. We don’t like how we look, how don’t like the way we sound, we have zero confidence. My advice. GET OVER IT! I am sorry to be blunt but just like when you started writing articles, once you get used to the videos, it’s not big deal.
Practice, practice and DON’T strive for perfection… sometimes the mistakes are the best part of the videos.. they let your audience see that you human just like they are!
Now comes the fun part!
Alright, what do you need to get your Video SEO in check:
- Once you have your keyword make sure that it is in the title, a couple of times in the description and in the tags.
- Add more tags, in between 4 to 10 that are related to your video and to your keyword
- Blast backlinks to your video. Simply grab the url from the video and start blasting backlinks to it… use Onlywire, TribePro, Ping.fm, Senuke X, Article Marketing Robot, Unique Article Wizard… whatever you have… use it!
Now, though this doesn’t have to do with Video SEO, remember that you need to add a call to action and that you need to add links to your description… otherwise what is the point of this whole exercise.
Dwayne Pyle suggest that you add a link to your capture page and a link to your blog. I will follow his advice since he apparently know what he is doing.
