Empower Network

My introduction to Empowered Network.  It was like a hand reaching out of the mist, urging me to grab hold and step through.

My life had been in a slow steady spiral of the downward variety for a few years, ever since the winter when my greenhouse collapsed under the weight of a heavy winters snow.

Oh well, I had been barely keeping it together anyway, I guess the collapse was inevitable on some level, sort of like the way the economy looks to the “average Joe.”  Note: Ever notice how people with money don’t worry about the economy?  People involved in Empowered Network certainly don’t…

Anyway, each of us decides where the bottom of our downward spiral is and I had hit mine.  I made the decision it was time for a change.  It was quite obvious that what I was doing was not working and I couldn’t keep doing it.

Ever notice how when you change your attitude that things just change?  I mean really, the power behind that is mind blowing and so many people just don’t see it.

Do you remember when you were younger and there was that cute boy or girl, or that car, or that shiny medal, or whatever you wanted so bad you couldn’t sleep at night?  It was all you could think about and you would have fancy visions of walking hand in hand, or sitting behind the wheel, or walking up and accepting that medal… It was so real that you could feel the touch of the other persons hand in yours, or hear the wind whistle by your ears as you drove down the street with all the windows down, or caught the glint of the sunlight off that medal as you reached for it.

We need to recapture that intensity of our youth.  Cut the shackles of our present day worries and disappointments and set a new vision for ourselves.

That is what I had to do.  My world collapsed around me that day my greenhouse collapsed and it has literally taken me years to recover.  Somewhere buried beneath the rubble of my dream laid my soul and for years I have been walking through life like a zombie, trying to make it through one day at a time.  How did I do that?  How did I do that?  I don’t know.  I just knew I had to because I had someone depending on me.  But what did I do living without a soul all those years?

But when I hit MY BOTTOM, when I knew I couldn’t sink any lower, or I wouldn’t find my way back, then there was no where else to look but up.  I refocused my sites on the light.  I refocused on what I knew I was capable of, to make things happen in my life.  And you know what’s amazing, it doesn’t take much of a shift.  When two points converge upon each other and then start moving away from each other it doesn’t take long to put some distance between them.

When you’re swimming in a pool, whatever direction you point your body in, that’s the direction you’re going to move.  When you set your sights on a goal and take one step and then another step and then another, it is inevitable that you will eventually reach your goal.  If you focus on the negative you will move toward the negative.  If you focus on the positive then you will move toward the positive, just like the swimmer in the pool.

Maybe you have sunk so deep and moved so far from your positive that you just can’t see it…Then simply move away from the negative…but move.  Envision that positive thing that you want to see and make it appear.  See it in your minds eye, smell it, touch it, describe it to yourself in minute detail.  You must in order for it to become a reality.  You have that power!  I have that power!  I have that power!!!

When I joined Empower Network I was ready to be EMPOWERED!

And now today, after listening to only two days of audio (granted there are two recording I’m listening to at a time – so that’s about 2 – 2 1/2 hours of content) I can feel a shift within me.

I can do this!  I can do this!  I will do this!  The Empower Network will be the vehicle.
