Hey there, Colin here
I guess I am lucky and have learnt some tips off some of the best marketers around.
Obviously not saying I’m the king of making videos though lol!!
So I shot this video today to give you a few tips.
I have also written out my tips here. I know you mightn’t be like me and would rather read instead of watch videos!
#1 Break Mindset/Capture Attention
It is important to do something interesting or
exciting to start your video. Just break people’s
attention and get them interested in watching on. Be
Creative!
#2 Just be yourself!!
I see some guys trying to be over excited or kind of
analytical when they aren’t naturally. Just practice a
few videos and you will find your voice. Will make
your videos much easier to make.
#3 Tell your story
Tell the story of where you came from. People will
rember and recognise you from your story. You can’t
tell your story often enough. Be as honest and factual
as you can!!
#4 Talk in an Active Voice
Be energetic and talk about how you want people to do
stuff. After all you are a teacher in yourvideos.
Don’t be afraid to say things like ‘Definitely include
#5 Quote somebody else.
This is more powerful than you think. If you actually
quote someone else (who is successful) while marketing
anywhere you can say different stuff and people will still
listen to you! If the person you are quoting is credible, your
audience will be calmed even if the quote is provocative!
#6 Make sure you over deliver on value.
you say you WILL do. Over deliver in your promise.
make sure you don’t wander off the topic in your video
title. This is only fair isn’t it??
#7 Calls to action
Similar to #4 but can be scattered throughout your
video. Obviously don’t be annoying but don’t be afraid
to push yourpoint through. It’s surprising how much
people need to be told to do something. examples are
‘Click my link’ or ‘Read my blog’
MY FINAL TIP
Youtube also has some great stuff on their site to help you make your videos.
Stuff like what to put in a description.
I’ll be back with more training soon!
