“What do I do now?” is a question I am sure we have all asked ourselves at some point in our lives. Maybe many times over.

I’m not here to answer that question for you. Sorry.

This post is in response to a growing number of questions from family, friends and ex-collegues regarding what do I do now … for a job.

Only this morning, in response to an FB post about how to make $150 from every $6 sale made, a friend asked, “What are you on about with this new business proposal? It sounds good, but also sounds like a scam  Please tell me more…” (thanks Lauren)

This post will shed a bit of light on where I’m at and what I’m on about.

But let me say right off what I do not do.

I do not and will never sell, promote or recommend something that I have not tried and tested myself.

I do not sell hype and I do not recommend scams.

Everything I promote and recommend I have tried.

And everything I promote and recommend works for me.

So, Really, What Do I Do Now?

Straight up I’m an internet marketer. I promote products and services on the internet.

That’s the simple explanation.

But as I am learning every day being an internet marketer is a lot more complex, a lot more exciting and a lot more rewarding than just that, just promoting stuff on the internet.

Rewind quickly … bear with me, but you gotta know where I come from to understand where I’m going …

I’m a chartered accountant – hated that job.

I’m an ex-investment banker – loved the challenge for a while, but hated the lack of control it afforded me over my life and my time. Financial freedom – sort of. Time freedom – zilch.

During my last 2 years as an investment banker I was constantly asking myself the same question, “What do I do now?” Because I didn’t like what I did and knew that there must be more to life than living the corporate rat race.

So I took a leap of faith and really started to research what it would take to be successful online. I knew a lot of people were making a killing online and I wanted to know what it was all about. I mean, if they can do it I can do it. Right?

Right.

Exactly What Do I Do Now?

I joined an MLM company through a friend and that set me off on this path.

But that was just the start, the tip of the iceberg.

After a few months in that business I started to run out of leads to grow the business and that got me asking the same question “what do I do now?” again.

So I did a bit more research, spoke to a few people and have discovered that the internet is a melting pot of fantastic income producing opportunities …

… mixed in with a healthy dose of total hype and complete scams!

I got caught up in a few of these “scams”, but never badly. I have always had the “cash back guarantee parachute” to pull -I’ve pulled it twice!

But I have also discovered that it is easy to make money online – if you know where to look, or what to do. It all comes down to EDUCATION.

What do I do now – For Me?

I invest in myself, my (online) education, my personal development and my future – by learning.

I have learnt more about myself in the last 6 months than the last 6 years. I have learnt more about the internet in the last 6 months … than ever before. And I have learnt what I need to do to make money online, and that it is not actually that difficult.

Most importantly, I have learnt that anything is possible as long as you have the desire, the right training, the right mindset and the right support.

What do I do now – for money?
