For those of you that would rather watch a news report than read one, click on the link above for a video report.
Only in countries like the USA and Amsterdam would you hear of something like this. And leave it to Larry Flynt, the founder and publisher of Hustler magazine, to come up with an idea like this. This kind of reminds me of the trucks that you occasionally see driving down the street in Las Vegas that say on both sides of the truck,
” Hot Babes At Your Door In 20 Minutes!! “
Followed by a phone number. As if you’d be ordering a pizza or something. Except this is taking it one step further since the trucks in ‘Vegas that I’m referring to don’t have see through walls that enable you to see the girls that are inside (well, I’m assuming that the ” Hot Babes ” trucks in ‘Vegas don’t actually have the girls inside ready to be delivered)!! lol
Mostly my thoughts on this topic are, ” Get the damn thing out of there. “
I don’t have a problem with business people in the sex industry doing something creative like this. But let’s at least follow the legal and moral guidelines!! The report claims that the ” stripper truck ” was located right by a public library and within a block of an elementary school, for gawdsakes!! And please don’t tell me that there aren’t laws in the city of Sacramento that clearly prohibit pornographic advertising or businesses from being within a certain distance of such public facilities like libraries and children’s schools!! Surely, there has to be.
This is just another one of those times when you hear about something and you think to yourself,
” God, what next? “
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS13) – I know it when I see it. Defining obscenity may have stumped Supreme Court justices, but in San Francisco’s Sunset District, Larry Flynt’s Hustler Club Truck must put the petal to the metal and go.
Girls are inside most Friday and Saturday nights. It’s a mobile enticement for the legions of tourists who share the “XY” chromosome.
But even the tourist libido retires for the night, as so does the truck’s driver. For over a month he’s been putting on the brakes at 37th Avenue and Balboa. And neighbors are outraged.
City Supervisor Eric Mar says complaints flew fast and furious.
“[The truck is] right by the Anza Branch Library and half a block from an elementary school,” said Mar.
So he had the titillating truck towed for expired tags.
“If you look inside there’s a pole so some women can dance around it, as this thing drives around the street,” said Mar.
The truck took a hiatus, but much like libido it came back, this time to 42nd and Geary.
It’s a game of cat and mouse, and calls to Hustler Club management go nowhere.
Hustler didn’t return phone calls, perhaps because they know there is a 20-year-old city law that forbids vehicles commercially advertising on public streets.
Even if they don’t, Mar’s working on a new law that tows any and all titillations.
“We don’t want this truck in our neighborhood,” said Mar.
