Empower Network

So I’m in! People often ask me why I joined the Empower Network and that is a great question. For starters let me tell you a little about myself. I have been online making money for over 10 years, now that may sound really exciting but up until recently I have never made more than a few hundred dollars a month. You see the problem with making money online (although the guru’s would have you think differently) is that it can be very difficult. I bought product after product looking for a way to get started making money however most courses have tons of missing pieces.

They say ‘Get a WordPress Blog and start writing and you will make money’ which is true however they left out the part about how WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different things and the .com version is not very conducive to making money. After learning that the hard way I got the .org version, then you have to, do keyword research so you can buy a domain name then buy hosting and make sure the two work together. Learn how to FTP the files on to your server, setup a database, update the code in WordPress so it and the database work together. Then install WordPress.

Phew I’m done finally right now I can make money? Nope, you have to buy a theme, design your page, create a banner, and pick your colors. Then, the money just flows in?? Wrong again they you need social media, email follow up, blah blah blah, don’t forget the plugins. The list goes on and on. Then after all that you still need to take the time to write on your blog, which probably won’t get any traffic because it is a new site and google prefers older sites that have been around for a while.

So much for easy money with a blog huh? Well I am not a quitter so I have manged to finish all of those steps (although it may have taken a few years) and finally I am starting to see minimal results. I just knew there had to be an easier way so I started asking around. After hearing about the Empower Network from a friend I decided to check it out although I was a bit skeptical. After doing some research I was actually pleasantly surprised. All of those steps that are so difficult and take forever are completely gone. I have the advantage of an older domain that is already getting a ton of traffic, all of the FTPing, and installing is done. So (really this time) all I have to do is log in and start writing.

Now if you have never ‘blogged’ before consider yourself lucky that you have not been through all these headaches. Although I am a little ticked that the Davids were not around years ago when I started because I cannot imagine how much time I would of saved and where I would be right now. It’s kind of funny looking back on it although I would not wish that on anybody.

So to answer the question the main reason I joined is simplicity. Now I can simply log in and do what I love and share my story. Plus the trainings that come with the Empower Network membership are amazing, even without them I felt like I have gotten my money’s worth. You can really tell when you are watching their videos how much they care and want to help people get their start online. So thank you David Wood and David Sharp for putting all the pieces together and making this thing work! It has been a tremendous time saver for me and I’m sure hundreds of thousands of other people struggling to get started making money online!
