Determination in the Business World
Would you say that in the world of business, it takes a lot of personal determination and commitment to succeed? This especially applies to those who are
considering launching an online business to make money.
Making money online can be possible, but only if a person is willing to have powerful determination and make a strong personal investment. This is because online businesses are one of the most competitive fields and industries today. For every ten online businesses launched, only four will make it past one year.

Determination with a Long Term Marketing Strategy
To make an online business successful requires developing a strong marketing strategy. Most people will jump online and think they have a plan to market their business. When in fact all they are doing is throwing things out on the Internet to see ‘what sticks’. Instead have a plan for generating interest about your blog site, and also a plan for attracting and retaining customers. If done correctly with determination, this strategy should help to generate profits and increase online traffic.
A great way to generate that traffic is to incorporate a search engine optimization strategy into your marketing plan.
This consists of posting key words and phrases that are commonly found in search results on major search engine like Bing and Google. The more key words you use that might be of interest to your readers, the greater chance that your website address will be featured on the first page of Google search results. However, with some of the Google search engine changes, having a specific keyword for each blog post is much more effective in getting your blog post page ranked.
It should also be noted that this strategy must be done on a consistent basis in order for it to be truly effective, but also that the core idea of search engine optimization simply goes hand in hand with the strategy of having quality content on your site.

Determination starts with …. Do You Believe in your Business?
Aside from developing an effective marketing strategy, online business requires having strong personal determination to make an online business successful. This includes the willingness to sacrifice time spent on personal interests and a commitment to put in some very long hours. Of course, you don’t want to burn yourself out so taking the necessary ‘breaks’ from your business should be factored in but never should be an excuse to stop working or giving up on your dreams.
In short, running a business requires the same level of personal commitment, determination and sacrifice you sometimes have to make in your personal life.
Studies have shown that many online business owners who have failed believe it was the result of the owner not being able to make a strong enough personal commitment.
In some cases it is because the online business owner treats the business as a hobby and not as a full time online company. While in other cases the owners believed they gave up on the business too early because it was not generating the type of online traffic and profits they had initially anticipated.
All these are examples of lack of personal determination and commitment – both needed to make an online business successful.
