Or should we be able to chose our own photos on our blogs?

There was a big discussion beginning of January about the nude image of David Wood on the Empower Network blog header. I personally think it’s funny and it doesn’t bother me a lot. I wouldn’t mind more muscles or more tan, but his wife is gorgeous.

Someone started a thread in our Facebook group.

Let me be honest here. I think the picture, at the the top of the blog system on the left, should be replaced with logo or $$$ signs or a scenery or the background of Costa Rica or a group of people networking. This would be more professional for people coming to the site. Or create other themes that we can choose including one without a picture or even let us personalize the site with our own picture of choice. Several folks, guys and girls, have spoken negative about this to me.

Here is a selection of replies to that:

• I agree, please give us a few more choices
• They don’t understand that we use the image and fame of David to attract people
• if they want their own brand, they just can pay for their own blog. they’ll appreciate the difference on all levels, expenses, work, and income
• I think Dave has a nice picture, but it is about the right to choose
• while I’m sure that banner has attracted a lot of people, there are many who’d love to change JUST ONE THING…a shirt! LOL
• agreed that there is a place for provocation or controversy…but hopefully a guy in a great shirt with his lovely wife in an exotic location is at least as attractive as the shirtless version
•  And there is truth in the idea that when you offend no one, you probably attract no one as well

You see, lots of different opinions and views.

So I started to think about what kind of photo I would use if I could.

I put it aside though, thinking if they’d do something about that it’ll be a few weeks maybe months and I’d have time to find a nice photo. Having put on some weight during winter I’d have time to go on a diet. Also not being in the best physical shape I figure I might need some beauty surgery.

What a Shock!

Today I found out that in fact we can chose now our own photo in the header of our blog. Several people have done that already and I think some of them went to either

1. a professional photographer or
2. a professonal photoshopper

I still have those christmas cookies on my hips and have not saved enough for the beauty surgery. Guess I have to take some other measurements.

One of them is a photoshop diet and the other is a photoshop enhancement surgery.

David Wood or Seasonal Xarah or Branding Xarah

Maybe I’ll have seasonal photos up. Not much for branding though. Well, eventually I’ll go with either 1) or 2) and if you follow my blog you will be one of the first to find out.
