Antonio Buehler Stepped Up. It Is What Rangers Do

Austin, Texas police officers apparently take interfering with beating the hell out of a couple of women on New Year’s Eve pretty seriously. Clearly, Antonio Buehler needs to be taught to keep his mouth shut when some POlice is taking out his frustrations on a couple of women.

Even a Ranger such as Antonio Buehler needs to be taught his place, it seems.

Police Brutality In Cases Like Antonio Buehler’s Case Seem to Be On the Rise

You know, back when I was a Corrections Officer for the State of Alabama back in 1985, it just seems to me that police officers were more ‘protect and serve’ and less let’s get to the gym, get geared up and kick some civilian ass. Fact is, looking at the average cadre of cops now I am beginning to wonder if part of their temper is maybe some of the gear that has them all bulking up like powerlifters …but, no. I have known guys on gear. That whole thing about ‘roid rage is just bullshit. The only truth is like anything else. If you are an @$$hole, you will just be a bigger @$$hole as you get bigger. Being able to bench three times your body weight just makes you more apt to throw your weight around than when you were just a chicken$#!t, normal sized @$$hole.

I say that because frankly, I am getting to where I am as leery of cops I do not know as I am of thugs. If a thug goes off on me I know what to do. If a cop is having a bad day, well, everyone involved, just as in the case of Antonio Buehler, is going to have a bad day no matter who’s right and who’s wrong.

If this sounds like I am anti-cop, nothing could be further from the truth. My concealed carry permit was signed off on by a Captain of my local county Sheriff for whom I am a deep and abiding respect as a good man, a good father, and an honest Sheriff with honor. There are others, too, like him. I just am worried that what I see is our moving to a state of affairs where he is the exception, where an Antonio Buehler is an obstacle to the will of the State.

Antonio Buehler was in what seems to be his character when acting as designated driver on New Year’s Eve. A Ranger, a West Point graduate, a veteran of Afghanistan and Iraq, and a schoolteacher for goodness, sake, Antonio Buehler was trying to keep his friends out of trouble on a New Year’s Eve. Little did he know he was the one in danger.

Good Samaritan Antonio Buehler Speaks Up

Having apparently served as a military police in one of the wars we find ourselves in, Antonio Buehler was probably shocked to see a big burly Austin PO-lice yanking a woman up by the arms behind her. This is a move that can permanently damage the shoulders in a human. I guess time will tell if she has to have rotator cuff surgery. Since we don’t have the name of the women Antonio Buehler was trying to help out, we will never know.
