GMO Trees – Who Needs A Natural Forest Anyway!

Stroll Through The GM forest And Smell The Toxic Fumes
If Monsanto has its way the natural smell of a forest will be a thing of the past. Not only do they not care about the natural environment, they are trying to destroy it. GM is now adding trees to the long list of GMO causalities.
Why would anyone want to replace a natural tree or forest with something that is genetically modified? Greed of course! Pretty soon children won’t even know what real food tastes like or what a real forest smells like. This is just getting beyond the ridiculous and it is pretty scary.
The Genetically Modified World Has Become A Reality
What kind of world are we creating for the generations to come? It is not a pretty site and if we don’t say no to GMO then we are going to give them an ugly place to live…if you can call what we are doing as sustaining life. What future generations will inherit is an existence, not life.
Five Reasons To Say No To GMO
ONE: Destruction of forests – Introducing the “supertree” no it doesn’t wear tights and leap tall buildings in a single bound, but it can be sprayed with toxic chemicals from the air and survive while all other life around it is destroyed. They won’t flower either which means that the animals that once lived here won’t survive. This will cause the death of our forests and our wildlife.
TWO: Trees will the ability to terminate insects: Monsanto and the New Zealand Forest Research Agency are developing a tree that doesn’t flower, is herebicide resistant and has leaves that give off toxic chemicals to kill caterpillars and other insects. It will destroy the whole ecosystem of the forest, but that is o.k because we will have pest resistant wood to build with.
THREE: Pests that are common now will develop into superpests as they become immune to the Bt sprays used by organic farmers.. Monsanto recommends spraying these pests with methyl parathion, which just happens to be one of the deadliest chemicals on the planet.
FOUR: Fish and marine life are being threatened by the release of GM fish that are currently under development. They say it was an accident, if you believe that! Trout, carp and salmon are currently being bio engineered so they are several times the normal size and grow six times as fast. They will wipe out the natural fish populations.
FIVE: Some insects are beneficial but they don’t stand a chance because Monsanto products don’t discriminate, they kill everything! The monarch butterfly is just one example of an insect that is under threat thanks to GMO. Honey bees are another insect that is dying out due to the vast amount of chemical sprays being used and the prevalence of GM crops rising and last but not least the ladybird is on the hit list too.
Time to ask yourself what kind of world you want to leave the ones you love, because it is changing rapidly and not for the better.
